USM, DG, Emaduku Rallies Ward Coordinators For Expanded Community Outreach And Awareness Campaign

The Director-General of Unique Sound Minds Initiative, Olorogun Austin Emaduku, PhD, today Sunday 14/06/26, convened a strategic meeting with all ten ward coordinators of the initiative to deliberate on enhanced mobilisation and sensitisation strategies ahead of the group’s upcoming ward tour.

The meeting focused on strengthening grassroots engagement, improving coordination of activities across wards and advancing public awareness of the organisation’s programmes and objectives. Discussions also centred on preparations for the impending tour of all wards by the initiative as part of its outreach and community engagement drive.

All ward coordinators were in attendance and unanimously agreed to form a structured forum leadership. In the process, elections were held to establish key positions within the coordinators’ forum. Chief (Dcn) Nigeria Okorode was elected Chairman of the forum, while Joseph Omavuaire emerged as Secretary.

The Unique Sound Minds initiative is led nationally by Chief Sir. Richard Odibo, while the Board of Trustees is chaired by Elder Eddie Onosorhue.

The meeting was described as productive and forward-looking, with stakeholders expressing confidence that the newly elected forum leadership will enhance coordination, unity, and effective implementation of the group’s grassroots agenda across all wards.

The DG also reminded members of the unity-driven mission of the organisation, warning them against engaging in conflicts on social media. He advised that issues should be discussed constructively and resolved internally rather than through public exchanges, stressing that no member should engage in abusive language, with particular emphasis on showing respect to elders at all times.
